“N O C O M P L Y” / Struttura G055 – New Playground by Giulio Vesprini in Civitanova Marche (IT)
The sheer number of painted playgrounds that I see recently shows that there’s an evolving new category of art practice somewhere between street art, land art, and municipal public art. After painting a basketball courtyard and two more playgrounds, Italian illustrator and street artist Giulio Vesprini painted this skatepark in Civitanova Marche, Italy.
In Giulio’s words: This work wants to be an approach to the upgrading of the big skaters community in the city, a trace that seen from the above becomes a characterizing skate park place, recreating a meeting point between culture, sport and nature. After a long time a public space for the city reopens, thank you to dear urban art.
