“Habelas Hainas” – New mural by Milu Correch in Galicia (ES)
At the 14th edition of the urban art festival ‘Desordes Creativas‘, which takes place in Ordes (Galicia, Spain), the Argentinian artist Milu Correch painted one of her witches-themed, narrative-based murals. This series of works explores the brutal history of western Europe’s Witchcraft Trials, which were responsible for the deaths of over 40,000 men and women from the late 16th to early 18th century. Through it, Milu Correch explores what it meant to be a witch -being different, being critical, being part of a minority- and how our society hasn’t gone too far from that repressive attitude.
