“Fashion Victims” – New Mural by Escif in Valencia
Escif has just painted a provocative mural in front of the Valencia store of the fast-fashion retailer Primark. The latest mural painted by Spanish street artist Escif features the actual “fashion victims”: those who work in conditions close to slavery to mass-produce at low costs clothes sold in western countries. The artist speaks against the low-cost labor from manufacturing industries of South, Southeast, and East Asia, showing the relation between consumption and poverty.
