“La Biddina” – New Mural by Andrea Casciu in Grotte (IT)
In Sicilian dialect, biddina is a big, mysterious snake. According to the legend, a hearth-broken girl known for wearing red lipstick on her beautiful face, threw herself into the waters of the marsh. Ever since, she has never appeared in her human shape again, but only as a water snake with a red snout. Living hidden in the swamp, with her charming gaze such charmer snake enchants and attracts the ill-fated fellows passing by.
